In the second of our ‘meet the team’ series at On Air Dining’s Headquarters, we introduce Tim Jeffery, Senior Inflight Manager to share his experiences of working with the company:
Where do you come from and what is your background:
Born in Cambridge, and part of a large family we lived in a small rural village for over 18 years. I have over four years experience in private catering account management and prior to this an intensive 10 year stint in fast food and take away management.
How long have you been with On Air Dining and what drew you to the company:
I have been with On Air Dining for six months now, but already it feels like I have been there for so much longer! It’s been great learning new customer service skills and having such exclusive insights into private luxury in flight dining.
What is your main work strength:
Looking at all operational aspects within the Inflight department and implementing best practice using previous experience and skills learned. I’m committed to the company goals and values and putting in the extra work in to get things just right for our customers.
As an InFlight manager what is your main role and which part of your job do you enjoy the most:
Dealing with our customers is the biggest part of the role. And this is also my favourite, there is nothing I like more than having a chance to meet our clients out on the tarmac and seeing their satisfaction with our services and food.
What is your main ambition in life:
To visit at least one new country every year. There are so many places to see and visit, I can understand the occasional re-visit but love to explore when I can!
Which is your favourite On Air Dining dish:
Can’t beat the Fillet of Beef or Braised Daube of Beef.
Tell us something no one knows about you: Not many people know this but I’d really like to be a dog trainer when I retire! Ideally I’d like get a dog into the movies (or advert). But some way to go yet and yet to complete my instructors course!
